We are a group of volunteers who provide veterinary care and shelter to improve the lives of homeless and abandoned cats. Until PawsWatch, the life of a homeless cat found living in colonies in neighborhoods in R.I. had always been bleak – fighting the elements of nature, living and reproducing in starvation and squalor, and facing poisoning or mass roundup for death.

New hope with a new approach called TNR is proving to be a better way to treat this once condemned population. PawsWatch is part of a large and growing grassroots effort to transform "street cats" into healthy managed colonies, which decline through attrition.
